Where Have I Been? + haul

Heya everyone! Sorry for my absence, but I've been in England the past few days for my Bournemouth interview.

I went on Wednesday and came back today. It's been a good few days - spending time with my family, shopping but more importantly I got an OFFER from Bournemouth WOOO!!!

After stressing the past few weeks about this interview, it felt such a relief to get it out the way! But in all, it was a really good day as I got to see what the course would be like by doing radio, tv and print activities! And an additionally bonus was that I got to go shopping afterwards. Here's some things I picked up ...

Coral and turquoise shorts  - £5 each - Primark
LA pink top - £16.99 - River Island
Grey flower shoes - £6 - Primark
Brown and gold detail bag - £9 - Primark
Denim jacket - £12 - Primark
White butterfly shirt - £14 - Primark


As well as spending all my money in Primark and River Island, my aunties treated me and my mum to a spa day at Penny Hill Park ...

I love their makeup, hair and especially nail tutorials ... this website is my latest addiction!!!

Tutorial - Red and Leopard Print Louboutins Inspired Nails! (all credit goes to TheBeautyDepartment)

These nais are perfect for any occasion, especially a hot date! The combination is super cute and fun, and apparently the design is inspired by a pair of Louboutins!!!

Tools needs: Cheetah print nail sticker (OPI), reinforcement stickers, red nail polish and clear top coat. 

Steps

1. Read the instructions on how to apply the nail strips because the directions vary from brand to brand.

2. Apply the cheetah print nail strips on all fingers as your base.

3. Apply the reinforcement stickers on each finger. You can put them where ever you want, but I like to follow the “moons” of the nails.

4. Now paint your nails red. Start at the edge of the sticker and paint to the tip of your nail. Do a second coat if neccessary!

5. Last but not least, add a quick drying top coat!

I'm a BIG Nicki Minaj fan as she is really versatile, what with just performing her crazy performance of Roman Holiday at the Grammy's ... to this POP-tastic new single!

It's a blast of pop goodness, with a bouncy beat, sing-song chorus and Minaj's sass.
I can't help but dance when I hear it ...

So ... as you all know ... it's Valentine's Day tomorrow!! ... and obviously you want to look your best for your loved one! 

Picking the right polish is essential ... and I think light pinks OR a french manicure works perfectly! 

OPI Sweetheart

This is one of favourite nail polishes of ALL TIME! It's such a beautiful baby pink and goes with any outfit I wear.

Essie Muchi, Muchi

This is a gorgeous colour and although it needs a few applications, the end result is a creamy pink with kiss of mauve.

China Glaze Afterglow

This was my first ever China Glaze and one of my favourites! It's a pretty, sheer, iridescent pink with a hint of pale blue opalescence, which catches in the natural light

OPI - Strawberry Margarita

I've been wanting this colour for ages, and I finally got it! I already have enough pink nail varnish but this is one of my favourites! It is very bright, which is perfect for spring and summer!


OPI - Do You Lilac It?

This is another colour which is great for spring and summer! It's super glossy and is streak-free, which is good because thats one thing I can't stand and thats streaky nail polish!


MAC Dazzleglass in Smile

This looks beautiful in the tube, but when you apply it, its very sheer! So overall it not a great product on its own for me as I find its works better over a lipstick, to add extra shimmer!

Evening ladies!

I decided to paint my nails today, and seeing that Valentine's day was coming up, I was inspired to do something SUPER pink!

These took me a VERY long time to do, as I had to ensure that each layer was completely dry, so I did get a little impatient! But, I'm pretty please with the end results.

Sweet heart rice krispie cakes 

These are super cute and super easy! Just make your classic rice krispie then use a heart-shaped cutter AND add a hint of pink food colouring - and then you've got the perfect treat.

Valentines Cooookies

These again are super simple as you just make your classic cookies then ice them with the craziest V-day designs!

Perfect Pizza ...

My absolute favourite food is pizza, and how cute is it to cut it into a heart! Although, I don't think I could make one this perfect

MMMM ... all this talk about food is making me hungry!

February Wishlist

It's now February, so it's getting closer and closer to spring! And unfortunately for my purse, that means LOTS AND LOTS of new spring inspired make-up of pastels and neons ... that I think I end up persuading myself into buying!

1) Benefit Hervana

I have been after this little beauty ever since it came out! Although, it's a bit pricey, I know I can trust Benefit blushes as they don't break me out. BUT also ... there are four complementary shades - lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose and berry delight - so really its a bargain ... 4 for the price of 1.

2) Nars Trio Eyeshadow in Douce France

This limited edition trio is the perfect combination of colour and will help to create an unlimited number of looks from natural to intense in one little palette. This will work beautifully with winged eyeliner for a classic look!

3) Essie - A Crewed Interest
This nail polish is part of Essie's spring collection, and it is described as a luminous peach shade. Therefore, absolutely perfecto for springtime! Normally, I go straight towards pink, but I thought I was ready for a bit of change ... and there's only a certain amount of pink nail polish's a girl can have!

4) Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Lip Gloss in Cosmic Pink

From the Neon & Nudes Collection, this lipgloss will bring that extra POP to your look! This super shiny gloss can be worn on it own for a sheer colour or layer it over your favourite Lipstick to mix it up!

5) MAC Lipstick in Sweet Sunrise
This gorgeous lipstick is part of the 'Naturally Collection' from MAC cosmetics. A light neutral pink peach and has a lustre finish, which although is not my favourite formula (as it comes off after a few hours) but I think it's a beautiful colour. All the new lipsticks for this collection seemed to be sold out but I will try ordering online ... so fingers crossed!
